Claims are not the number one favourite topic on the list, but when our colleague Elke Laubinger invites people to the ‘Claims processing’ seminar, our OSL partners are happy to attend. At the beginning of April, eleven companies once again sent their managers to the seminar in Schlitz, including companies from Spain, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Over two days, Alexander Wilhelm and Christian Ernsting from KRAVAG-LOGISTIK and SVG respectively, as well as Elke Laubinger, responsible for insurance and risk management at ONLINE Systemlogistik, gave presentations on topics such as the special features of liability, explained when goods transport insurance and transport liability insurance apply and what the ideal form of damage documentation should look like.
Everyone also benefited from the exchange between experienced colleagues and those who have just taken over the ‘claims handling’ area. Fresh questions and practical examples make learning even easier.
Discussions continued over dinner and, of course, our site manager Damian Voss gave the group a tour of our central HUB on the first evening. The next claims seminar will take place in November.
