Off to the South! Our management team visited three partners in Bavaria, including the operator of our southern hub. The first stop was Liegat Logistik in Nuremberg. Liegat has been an OSL system partner since 1996. The family-run company stands for reliability and good networking; customer relations and the order situation are stable. In addition to hub transport, Liegat also handles direct transport with many OSL partners.
Next stop: the logistics centre of our system partner and founding member Döderlein in Nördlingen. Döderlein has been operating our southern hub here since 1996, with daily transports to and from Austria, Switzerland and Italy; 25 OSL partners take part in the nightly transhipment with one or more trucks. As a regional hub operator with many years of experience and expertise, Döderlein has actively supported us in setting up the northern and western hubs. The Nördlingen-based company is not only strong in general cargo, but also in value-added logistics. During a tour of a fully automated warehouse, our management was impressed by the technology and range of services. In this logistics warehouse, Döderlein handles the order picking of high-end products, including container unloading and returns management. No wonder Döderlein has long-standing customer relationships and good growth.
The next stop was at the southernmost point, in Augsburg, at Nuber, an OSL system partner since 1999. Like Döderlein, Nuber is part of the Roman Mayer Group. The fact that all Nuber employees were taken on three years ago and that the management was filled internally speaks for itself – the companies are a good fit, the quality is right. Nuber’s managing director Konstantinos Bozas speaks of a “boutique forwarding company”, i.e. individual solutions and personal customer care. The success is reflected in the good order situation.
