Not one, not two – no, five trucks have been on the road for daily trips between Portugal, Spain, and Germany since mid-June. Every night, a truck from our new system partner Garland Transport Solutions arrives at the ONLINE Systemlogistik (OSL) central hub in Schlitz. The other four trucks haul freight between Schlitz, Garland’s general cargo facility in Vitoria-Gasteiz in Northern Spain, and the Garland site in Maia, near Porto in Portugal.
We are particularly happy about the communication interface. Our quality manager, Silke Schulze, and the Garland team in Portugal are currently implementing the final adjustments to the IT systems. That makes it possible to document the status of every loading and unloading operation.
Our sincerest thanks go to our new partner Garland for a great start. A new colleague, Ricardo Neto, was signed on to the Garland team specially for the cooperation with OSL. He speaks German, Portuguese, and English fluently and has already proved to be a great asset for the effective communication in our international general cargo network.
