Continuity, efficiency, and growth: for five years, our managing director Petra Welling has shaped the development of ONLINE Systemlogistik.
She mastered her start in 2020, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, with flying colours – not least because her direct and uncomplicated manner fits well with OSL. Despite the restrictions in place at the time, Petra Welling quickly established good relationships with the teams at the headquarters and the central hub, as well as with many of the 85 partners at the time. Together with her experience from previous management positions, this provided a solid foundation for her work.
During the past years, it has enabled her, together with Verena Käuper and Mike Wüllner (the other members of management), the entire OSL team, and our partners, to implement many of the plans she had when she joined the company. Among them were expanding Europe-wide transport operations, optimising processes, and intensifying training programmes.
Our general cargo network has grown to 96 members since Petra Welling joined us. We now measure our emissions using real data on the Waves platform in accordance with ISO 14083. We are continuously improving our skills and those of our partners through regular training courses and seminars on processes, quality, and all aspects of sustainability. And these are just a few examples.
‘What I particularly like about ONLINE Systemlogistik is the spirit of partnership within the network. We can rely on each other, shape new ideas together, and implement projects,’ says Petra Welling. ‘Our general cargo network connects a large number of independent companies of various kinds, but they all have the same goal: to transport shipments from A to B with the highest possible quality. They can rely on OSL to do this.’
