The two locations of our partner Beeger are not far from the North Sea and the city of Bremen. This year, Beeger Internationale StĂĽckgutlogistik GmbH in Apen celebrated several milestones: its 20th anniversary, 20 years of system partnership with ONLINE Systemlogistik, and 10 years at its Apen site in Ammerland, just 60 kilometres from the East Frisian North Sea coast.
Beeger’s roots, however, are in Syke, south of Bremen. Beeger Logistik und Spedition GmbH was founded there in 1992. In 1995, the company was one of the founding members of ONLINE Systemlogistik. When the site in Syke was no longer adequate, Beeger moved to nearby Weyhe.
During the internal audit in Apen and Weyhe, our quality manager Andreas Nowotny learned that three things are particularly important to our system partner:
• The use of renewable energy: Apen has had a photovoltaic system with an output of approx. 100 kWp since last year; the PV system at the Weyhe site, with an output of approx. 250 kWp, has been generating electricity since 2022. Beeger uses the energy for electric forklifts, pallet trucks, and other electric vehicles.
• Digitisation: Most communication and administrative processes are digitised and are constantly being further developed.
• The bee in the Beeger logo: the bee is constantly on the move, typical for our business.
