58 New Pallet Trucks for the Central Hub

13. June 2025
200 Stapler sind am Zentral-HUB von ONLINE Systemlogistik im Einsatz, 58 davon wurden gerade gegen neue Modelle ausgetauscht.

Pallet trucks are nicknamed “ants” (Ameisen) in German, since like the insects, they are small, close to the ground, and constantly busy carrying loads back and forth. Around 200 of them are in use in our OSL central hub alone. We successively replace the pallet trucks after they have been in operation for four to five years. We just swapped 58 of them for a new generation of equipment. The new ones provide two important advantages:

  • Full suspension of the platform reduces impacts to the drivers, providing more comfort and safety.
  • The steering wheel is adjustable to fit the driver’s height.

Otherwise, the new vehicles have the same good features as their predecessors:

  • A hip-high steel skirt protects the drivers in case of collisions.
  • A sensor automatically stops the pallet truck if the driver’s feet step off the platform.
  • The vehicle also stops on its own if the driver lets go of the control handle.
  • An automatic system adjusts the speed when cornering.
  • A soft-landing system ensures that the fork is lowered to the floor gently, protecting the load.
  • Electrical double stackers can handle two pallets at once and load or unload double-deck trucks.

We hope our employees at the central hub will enjoy working with the new equipment.
